Notes:
Our Owen Herringbone Cowl knitting pattern uses a relatively simple Herringbone Stitch to create a visually striking and plush cowl. I think this design is easily appropriate for women and men. I work at A Good Yarn Sarasota and we often get requests for accessory patterns for men. This cowl would certainly be an answer to that question. With a total circumference of 49”, it is big enough to double in chilly weather.
This is knit flat and the ends are seamed using mattress stitch. You will pick-up and knit an i-cord border on each edge, one in Color B and the other edge in Color C.
Gauge: 20 sts and 17 rows = 4” (10 cm) in Herringbone Stitch on US 11, before blocking. Read “Needles” section before swatching.
