Ida Lace Cowl Knitting Pattern Yarn
Recycled Linen Handpaint by Trendsetter
84% Recycled Linen, 16% Linen: 150yds (138m)/1.75 oz (50g)
2 skeins (approx 300yds) for written size, shown in Color #01 Keystone
Gauge
Approx. 20 sts and 32 rows = 4” (10 cm) in Old Shale Stitch on US 6 (4 mm).
* 2 skeins was enough yarn to make a swatch and to knit the pattern, as written.
If you plan on making it longer and/or wider, you will need a 3rd skein.
Needle
- 24” circular needles on size US 6 (4 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
I do tend to be a tight knitter, so you may need to size down to a US 5 (3.75mm). Swatching is highly recommended.
You could easily substitute any sport weight yarn in this pattern. Linen is a good choice for summer, as it is just enough coverage to stay comfortable in air-conditioning or a cool summer evening.
